Samsung GT-i9300 reportedly photographed in the wild

Right now, it is believed that the GT-i9300 is the Galaxy S III. It is believed that is the case, because it falls in line with the model numbers of previous Galaxy S devices. The first Galaxy S was the GT-i900, while the Galaxy S II was the GT-i9100. So, with a new report from Phone Arena saying that the photo you’re looking at above is of the GT-i9300, the rumor mill is abuzz that this handset right here is the still unannounced Galaxy S III.

There’s no information to go along with the picture, though. No additional rumors. But it certainly is a phone in the wild, with Android on board, which looks to be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Of course, you can certainly tell that there is some TouchWiz fused in there, too, with applications like S Memo and S Planner (seen on the Galaxy Note). It could be another fake, as we’ve seen plenty of those in the past, but it’s up in the air at this point. It would be harder, but not impossible, to fake a live shot of a phone, though.

Is this a Galaxy S III? That’s anyone’s guess at this point. But, the rumor mill certainly wants us to think it is. We’ll leave it up to you to discuss. At least until Samsung officially announces something.
