Samsung Nexus S receives Android 4.0 and Sense 4 custom ROM

Right now, as it stands this very minute, Sprint and Google have yet to officially release Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Nexus S by Samsung. Yes, there are ports, and yes, there are custom ROMs that probably work just as well as the “official” build will, whenever it’s launched. But, if you’re looking for the real deal, it isn’t quite here yet. And if you own a Nexus S, but you’ve been looking at HTC’s Sense 4 with interested eyes, then we’ve got some good news for you. Good news, that is, if you like pre-Alpha software.

That’s right. Thanks to one member at XDA, swamp goblin, the Nexus S by Samsung has a new taste of Ice Cream Sandwich, but with a little twist. Instead of the stock build, you’ll be getting a custom ROM with Sense 4.0. And, right now, as we mentioned above it’s in a pre-Alpha stage, so there’s plenty of bugs underneath the surface. But, if you’re willing to give it a shot, and you don’t mind some pesky bugs, go ahead and head through the XDA source link below to learn more.
