Chrome For Android Updated, Adds Desktop View Toggle And More
All you Chrome Beta fans out there should keep an eye out for a brand new update introducing some pretty nifty new features. So what’s new?
- Request the desktop version of a website, instead of the mobile view
- Choose favorite apps to handle links opened in Chrome
- Add bookmarks as shortcuts on the home screen
- Use Chrome with a system proxy configured through the settings menu
Chrome Beta is still only available for Ice Cream Sandwich devices, a number we hope will skyrocket in the very near future.
The heck with Chrome, what I really like about ICS on my G2 is the new camera app! Before I had trouble taking a decent picture while holding the phone with both hands in poor light (always wobbly or icky in other ways.) Now I can take it with one hand and get stellar photos!That's just my opinion. Here's hoping Cyangenmod will get the camera working on the Touchpad sometimes soon...
