First Software Update For International HTC One X Rolling Out Now
The first official software update is now rolling out for owners of unbranded HTC One X devices overseas bringing the phone’s software version to 1.28. The 30MB update is delivered over-the-air, so hit Settings > About > Software updates to grab the new version. Network branded One X owners will likely have to wait a bit longer, likely for your carrier to give the “ok” to send this out.
So what changes are in store? The phone no longer incorrectly displays the on-screen menu key in certain Google apps, like YouTube, and automatic brightness levels seem to be toned down a bit as well. This update is also reported to fix any battery life issues One X owners may have suffered in the two weeks since the phone was launched.
