Most people look at the DROID BIONIC as a flop, a phone Motorola shouldn’t have released considering the DROID RAZR was released not too long after. The phones featured near identical specs, with the RAZR being much thinner than the BIONIC. Not even a month after that Motorola released the RAZR MAXX, but that’s a different rant for a different article. Anyways, the BIONIC was fairly popular when first released, and I know more than a few people who pulled the trigger on Motorola’s doomed handset.
As it turns out, Motorola is staying faithful to the handset, and it looks like they will be rolling out a new soak test to select owners soon. Before you get your hopes up, no, it’s probably not the long awaited update to Android 4.0, but more likely than not a bug-fixin’ update that goes by the attractive name of build 5.9.904. Sad, we know, but at least Motorola is still updating the handset. Wait, isn’t that what all phone manufacturers should do with every phone for at least a year? Yeah, we don’t see that too much these days.
