New Rumors Target Galaxy S III Launch Details Ahead Of Official Announcement

As we inch closer to the official announcement of the Galaxy S III, the boys at BGR are leaking a few extra details they believe are a part of the launch. They’ve been told to expect a huge international roll-out for the Galaxy S III including seeing the device as the official smartphone of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. That may explain why the launch event is in London, rather than the US or alternative European city.

Their sources go on to say there could be similar launch events in New York, Seoul and Dubai. The GSIII is rumored to come in two color options, blue and black along with a second option in white. Expect a 16GB and 32GB models with specs including a 1080p HD display, quad-core Exynos processor and integrated LTE.

Sound good?

I really do not know what to expect with this phone, but I really want to see it! If this does not satisfy, I may go with the rumored Atrix 3 or the Asus Padfone

I'll be utterly shocked if it's a 1080p screen. I really think that comes exclusively from assumptions of one-upmanship in rumors and not reality. I don't think there's a compelling reason to put that resolution in a 4.5-4.7" screen. At that point the cost would be too high and the benefit too low.

TurboFool Definitely agree, no point in 1080p on a phone, unnecessary waste of CPU resources, battery life, and over 300PPI is awesome already.
