The ASUS MeMO 370T was supposed to be ASUS’ attempt at the budget tablet market. The goal for everyone is the $200 7″ tablet, hot on the (quickly slowing) heels of the Kindle Fire. Samsung did it, and fantastically, with their $250 Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. It was a full featured tablet with great specs and a low price point. But the MeMO might be a very worthy competitor. It would match the Tab 2 7.0 in every spec, but pack a high end quad core Tegra 3 processor. Impressive indeed.
Now of course, we think it may be the rumored Nexus 7. It matches in every way: price point, size, and manufacturer. It seems like the perfect fit, really. It just passed through the FCC, a short month before Google I/O, which is also a good sign. It may be Google’s big announcement, entering into the tablet game with a budget-priced high end tablet.
Even if it isn’t our new Nexus tablet, it’s still a great device. It won’t change anything for consumers, to be honest. But I think this is the tablet Google needs to use as their Nexus, it just seems perfect. What do you guys think? Is this the new Nexus? Are you excited? Tell us in the comments!
