A new FCC filing has us wondering if ASUS, who isn’t exactly known for offering its tablet choices to North American carriers with 3G/4G connectivity may be finally bucking that trend. The Asus Transformer Pad TF300TL variant that has just passed through the FCC did so with 850 and 1900 bands on board for HSPA 3G, as well as 700 and 1700 support LTE-based 4G. In other words, these are the four necessary bands we need to see to call a tablet as AT&T-ready. In fact, all but the 700 band would make this ideal for Canada as well.
There is no magic bullet here that calls this definitively for a carrier launch however, but it would be nice to see ASUS bring such a tablet to North America allowing us plenty of opportunity to quickly burn through our respective data allotment.
What do you say? ASUS Transformer TF300TL with Tegra 3 and LTE? How’s that sound?
