Best Buy has been sending out emails to those who pre-ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE. Those emails claim that the phone will be released and shipped on May 23rd. We know that the phones are being held indefinitely in Customs, with no sign of being let go, so either Best Buy knows something we don’t or they are very mistaken. When others have contacted HTC, they had nothing new to say, so Best Buy’s claim is very suspicious.
If you’re not familiar with the back story, the AT&T HTC One X and the Sprint EVO 4G LTE are being held hostage by US Customs over an alleged patent infringement that isn’t even valid thanks to HTC’s forward thinking. So do we trust Best Buy or not? I guess we should be optimists and do so, right? What do you think? Tell us down below!
