Facebook will now be displaying much larger photos on its mobile pages. Considering phone displays are becoming higher and higher resolution, Facebook’s old method just wasn’t cutting it:
Now photos will be edge to edge and much bigger. This thankfully applies to iOS, Android, and Facebook’s mobile site (m.facebook.com), so everyone will be able to take advantage of this new change.
This is a nice change, but really doesn’t improve Facebook’s mobile user experience, which desperately needs an overhaul. Considering how slow and unresponsive it is, and how many features it lacks, this isn’t where Facebook should be concentrating their development energy. Just reading the comments on Facebook’s announcement of this redone photo method shows how much people hate it. What do you think of the mobile Facebook experience? Does this improve it?
