Google’s newest update to its Translate app is an introduction to the ICS era with a new Ice Cream Sandwich-like Holo theme. Complete with drop-down menus, an action bar, and better speech recognition, the version 2.4 update is definitely a worthy pick-up for the world traveler. Google Translate works with 64 different languages and can transcribe spoken words in more than 17 languages. This new update brings the total languages that can be spoken out loud up to 40. Just keep in mind that translation requires a data connection since all the work is done on Google’s servers. The update awaits you in the Google Play store.
