The Huawei Ascend P1 is one of those devices that will likely never get the attention it deserves in the US, even if it arrives with impressive specs. Featuring a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3″ Super AMOLED Display (540×960), 8 megapixel camera, 1080p HD video recording, front facing camera and Android 4.0, the P1 is a pretty well stocked device. Unfortunately, Huawei just doesn’t have the kind of foothold it would prefer in the US, leaving this handset as something we’ll likely have to view from afar. Still, I had a chance to see the P1 up close and personal back in January at CES and I have to say, if this device came to the US it would certainly entice at least a few buyers, especially if it came in at the right price.
It’s really too bad Huawei doesn’t have a foothold in the US, it would be nice to see an interface that isn’t Sense 4 or TouchWiz one of these days.
