Huawei is sticking with its guns and continuing to make budget phones. Though the Ascend P1 S truly impressed me (for a Huawei phone anyway), they aren’t giving up the budget market. The Y200 was displayed at CTIA, and now we find out that it will be launching in the US in a few months. This would be a good phone for kids as a first phone.
The Y200 features a single core processor clocked at a respectable 1GHz, and a 3.5″ screen at an HVGA 320×480 resolution. Also, you get a 3.2 megapixel camera, a roomy 1,400 mAh battery that should easily get the phone through a day, and the expected Android 2.3. With those specs, I’m hoping it’ll be very cheap.
Are any of you interested in this phone? Will it be your child’s first Android? Tell us in the comments!
