Flying under the radar this week was a comment on LG’s Singapore Facebook page on the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the LG Optimus 2X. After everything looked set for a second quarter roll-out, this update has been delayed for what are seemingly unknown reasons.

The LG Optimus 2X has already been plagued by issues, random reboots, multiple bugs and its US counterpart, the G2x was already pulled off the shelf once by T-Mobile. LG’s delay isn’t exactly rare, it’s not other carriers are rapidly pushing out their own set of ICS updates leaving LG in the dust. Still, each promised Ice Cream Sandwich delay is another call to arms for Android fans everywhere for someone to finally fix what is a continued battle of delay, after delay, after delay for Android updates.

Anyone out there still hanging on to the LG Optimus 2X? Anyone at all?
