Whenever the word ‘superphone’ comes to mind, most think of a device manufactured by Samsung, Motorola, or HTC. Truth be told, it’s one of those big three more often than not. Now we have word about the latest and greatest superphone, but instead of Samsung, Motorola, or HTC making it, LG’s in the spotlight this time. A new leak reveals the LG LS970, which may take to the name ‘Eclipse 4G LTE’.
While the manufacturer is LG, this phone is nothing to look past. The star of the show is a Snapdragon S4 APQ8064, which features 1.5GHz over 4 cores of goodness. It’s paired with the Adreno 320 and 2GB of RAM, so this will no doubt be the next benchmark-leading phone. 4.67-inches will be the size of the screen, with an HD resolution of 1280×768. 16GB of storage, a 13MP camera on the back and 1.3MP on the front, with a battery of 2100mAh will complete this high-end package. The best part yet: it’s only 8.6mm.
Sprint is said to be the carrier this powerhouse is headed to, featuring an LTE radio for the Now Network’s upcoming 4G LTE. All this leads to the most powerful device to date, but only time will tell whether or not this leak proves true. If it launches in the near future, Samsung and HTC might have some true competition.
