Samsung Galaxy S III’s First Custom Rom Waiting Patiently for a Device

More exciting news for those looking forward to owning the Samsung Galaxy S III.  Over on XDA the phone’s first custom rom has been made available, the Omega rom series by ::indie::.  The rom is already pre-rooted with Chainwire’s kernel, as well as deodexed and zipaligned.  The developer doesn’t provide any screen shots for the for the rom yet (although we hear it basically looks stock) because is has yet to put on a device!  ::indie:: states that the “Rom is untested because we do not have the device yet.”  Additionally, “Omega’s team already ordered SG3 devices and we are waiting to get our hands on them.”  However, if you already have your hands on an SG3, and are looking for some custom goodness, you can PM ::indie:: here.

So, lots of excitement leading up to the European release of the SG3.  Is this important news for you guys?  Will you be rooting and flashing right out of the box?
