Toshiba Excite 10 Released, Sells for $449

The Toshiba Excite 10, released today, is the middle ground in Toshiba’s planned trio of tablets. The Excite 7.7 satisfies the people who prefer smaller tablets, while the massive 13.3″ Excite 13 is for those who want a laptop-sized tablet. Both the 7.7 and 13 should be released sometime next month.

The Excite 10 is powered by a Tegra 3 quad core processor and 1GB of RAM, along with 16GB of storage. Those are pretty high end specs, and the $450 price tag is definitely a fair one. Other specs include a 5MP rear and 2MP front camera, a full sized SD card slot, a MicroHDMI port, and a 10 hour battery. And if 16GB of storage isn’t enough for you, 32GB and 64GB ($529 and $649) models will be available soon.

This is definitely a nice tablet, especially since it’s running stock Ice Cream Sandwich. But is it enough to compete? It’s a pretty average package, and the price isn’t TOO competitive. What do you think? Will you be picking one up? If not, why? Tell us in the comments!
