Amazon’s Appstore has given Android users an alternative to the Google Play Store for nearly a year and a half, but so far only users in the US have been able to take advantage of it. Sources familiar with the matter are reporting that the third-party app store will make its debut in the European market “sometime this summer”. In addition the release of the Appstore, the Kindle Fire could hit store shelves in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Austria, Italy and Spain. As with any rumor, you should take it with a grain of salt. However, we’d say there’s a pretty good chance that this rumor has some truth to it considering worldwide Amazon customers have been waiting their turn since the initial release of both the Appstore and the Kindle Fire.
