If you’re at all into OEM car stereo integration then chances are that you’ve stumbled across the name, Vais Technology, before. Now Vais plans to bring your Android to your car (provided it’s a recent Toyota or Lexus) straight through the touchscreen navigation system. That’s right, Vais is bringing a very normal looking Android experience to your car’s touchscreen. Can someone say distraction?
Distraction or not, this looks to be a cool concept especially seeing as Vais’ unit is only 5x4x1″ and connects to the back of a car stereo from any Lexus model between 2006 and 2012 and also to any Toyota model between 2006 and 2009. Vais says that those are the ones capable of working correctly with the high-res display that they use. If you’re interested then you should be prepared to pony up around $600 for the entire deal. This looks to be quite an interesting idea from Vais that could interest a lot of people who own both an Android and a compatible car. Share your thoughts in the comments!
