It’s finally here, the feature that Android developers have been anxiously waiting for. Google is touting the upcoming ability for publishers in the Google Play Store to reply directly to users’ comments. The feature is currently available only for those with a Top Developer’s badge in a limited testing capacity, but is expected to make a wider rollout in the coming weeks.
This may not seem like a huge update, though it’s important for developers to be able to reply to their user’s questions and concerns. It’s not just a big deal for developers to respond to spam reviews either. In fact, developers really do want to help out the end user so that they can build a solid reputation in the Google Play Store. Though, it’s also nice to make sure you get that coveted 5-star rating.
The useful new feature is expected to be thoroughly explained at Google I/O next week.
