Here it is friends, the is the first I’ve heard of the new Google Nexus 7 tablet being rooted.  Super Amazing Elite Recognized RootzWiki Developer birdman posted a “quick and dirty” method for rooting the tablet.  birdman says the method isn’t super easy, but he’ll be putting up an easier guide as soon as he can.  The post has instructions to guide you through the root process if you know what you’re doing, or if you really take the time to figure out what the different steps entail.  I’m sure the information is out there.  There is also .zip file attached for the root process.  So, if you’re looking to root your newly Google I/O recieved Nexus 7,  here’s your method for now.  Otherwise, if you’re like me, you can sit back and wait and know there will be some fun stuff ready for you when Google ends up shipping the device in 2-3 weeks.  Lets hope it’s 2.  Let us know if you’ve rooted your Nexus 7 and how the process went… Good Luck!
