Google’s Innovations at WWDC 2012

Maps and navigation in iOS. A Safari Omnibar and Tab Sync. These are just a few of the things announced today at Apple’s Worldwide Developer conference that you can already use on your Android device. Let’s take a quick video look at Google’s Innovations that made their way to WWDC 2012.

  • Documents in iCloud = Google Docs/Drive
  • Safari Omnibar = Chrome Omnibar
  • Safari Tab Sync = Chrome Tab Sync
  • Apple Maps = Google Maps
  • iOS Quick Reply and Facebook Integration from Android
  • Mobile Payments in Passbook = Google Wallet
  • FaceTime over Cellular = Google+ Hangouts

Whatever apple released it's new product in a market only the winner is andriod only

I don't think Apple introduced all this stuff to show how they make new stuff themselves, I think they just wanted to get away from Google but in a way of not losing the awesome functionality Google provided. 

As you said, I'm also excited about what Google will show at their I/O and what Jelly Bean will bring us although I can't think of a feature of iOS that is worth putting into Android, maybe you can enlighten me with what you think would fit in there.

Please don't say Siri, Samsung did that already and got sued which is totally legitimate from Apple's perspective. I just don't want Google to integrate something that is more than the Voice-Search that you can already download from the market. I'm fine if they just improve their Voice recognition with what they may have learned from Apple but something like Siri is just a gimmick, the world didn't need it when it came out and the world won't need Google to bring out their own version of it. At the end of the day it just uses up space that you could use more effectively.

poor rotten apple !  I'm so proud and happy that I use android and chromeOS. Ones again apple proof that they not worth anything.
