Today HTC has given developers some treats by releasing the source code for the HTC One S kernel. Head over to the HTC Dev center and you can download it yourself. Keep in mind that it is categorized by region and carrier. While this is a bit of good news, the bad news is that the T-Mobile version of the One S has been left out. The same thing also happened when HTC released the One X source but left the AT&T version int he dust. And even to this day the AT&T One X has yet to receive theirs. There’s no explanation as to why HTC leaves out the US variants, but the kernel source is covered by GPL, thus they have to release them sometime. Now the problem is that we’ll never know when that ‘sometime’ will really be.
