Jelly Bean Port for the HTC One X If You Can’t Wait

With HTC making non-committal announcements about upgrading their devices to the newly announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, I’m sure some of you aren’t satisfied with the “stay tuned” or “coming soon” statements.  So, I have some fun news for you impatient people like me.  If you own an HTC One X, you can start playing now if you’re desparate.  Senior XDA Memeber tgascoigne posted a Jelly Bean port from the Galaxy Nexus for the One X.  Currently, there are lots of known issues which are pretty important pieces on a smart phones such as the wifi, audio, camera, and more.  So it’s definately not a daily driver, but definiately something fun to check out.  It seems like the developers are working hard to improve its functionality, so keep watching the thread for more improvements.  To get Jelly Bean on your One X, extract the boot.img from the zip and then leave the zip on storage.  Next. flash the boot.img via fastboot followed by entering recovery and flashing the zip.  So there you have it, at least you can play with some of the new Jelly Bean features for a bit if you want.  Make sure to backup your device before you flash Jelly Bean so you can go back to ICS when you’re done playing.  Let us know how it goes for you…
