While we’ve already uncovered at least a few alternative methods for grabbing Jelly Bean on your Android device, Verizon Wireless Galaxy Nexus owners are in for a treat. A preview Jelly Bean ROM has leaked thanks to the folks at RootzWiki, and after a bit of legwork, not only have the software working on the Galaxy Nexus, but they’ve also got LTE up and running. Rootz specifically says that the update Google released yesterday was directed only at the GSM Galaxy Nexus, but the build will work on Verizon’s own LTE variant as well.
Early feedback shows no major issues, but as with all rooting and flashing of devices, this is an “install at your own risk” kind of deal. Rootz provides their own disclaimer and encourages you to know what you are doing before taking any opportunity to install this on your device.
