Lenovo hasn’t quite made a name for itself in the American smartphone market, but it appears the Chinese company is gearing up to release a brand new high-end Android handset. The LePhone K860 has been caught in the wild, sporting a 1280 x 720 5-inch HD display, a 1.4GHz Exynos quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The beast is also equipped with an 8-megapixel shooter, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 4GB of on board storage.
According to inside sources, Lenovo will be promoting the K860 as a phone/tablet hybrid. At 143.6 x 74.5 x 9.6mm and 185g, it measures in just slightly smaller than Samsung’s 5.3-inch Galaxy Note. There’s no word on whether the device will see a North American release, but you can expect to see LePhone K860 hit Asian markets by August.
