Remember back at Mobile World Congress in February when LG announced their big flagship phone for the year, the LG Optimus 4X HD? Since then LG has remained mum on any news regarding the launch dates of the phone but the silence was broken yesterday when LG announced eleven different European countries that would be receiving the phone shortly. Today they gave us even more information on its launch by informing us that its set to release in Germany today and will be coming to the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, and the United Kingdom soon. Unfortunately, the closest thing we have to an exact launch date for the named countries is mid-to-late July for the U.K as we’ve been told by online retailer, Clove.
For a quick specs refresher of the Optimus 4X HD, it has a 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, a 4.7″ 720p True HD IPS display, 1GB RAM, and LG’s new Optimus 3.0 UI overtop of Android 4.0. Considering how long it’s been since LG announced the 4X HD, it’s good to see them beginning to release it in Europe now. Any of our European readers excited for the Optimus 4X HD?
