New Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Shown Off
The redesigned Note 10.1 tablet, the true successor to the Tab 10.1, has been shown off on video. With the redesign comes the 1.4 GHz quad core Exynos with the incredible Mali-400 GPU and an S-Pen slot in the body. The biggest problem with the Tab 10.1 was the digitizer detecting touch really badly for drawing and writing. It had a slow detection rate (which made jagged circles and curves) and just was shoddy, like most tablets. With the inclusion of the S-Pen, they integrated Wacom technology to make it optimized for writing and drawing. I truly do think that’s amazing, and the S-Pen is a huge selling point.
Then there is a demonstration of the S-Pen and Photoshop Touch. It’s a long and somewhat boring video, but I love seeing just how great the S-Pen is. While it may not be all that useful on a phone, it’s amazing for a tablet. What do you guys think? Is this the next best tablet? Tell us in the comments!
I personally don't have a burning need for a stylus interface (at least more than my burning need for the Transformer Infinity's 1920x1200 screen with outdoor-readable super brightness mode), but I can see this as being very enticing for artists to use as a digital sketch book on the go. I've been proselytizing this to my artistic friends ever since I heard about it a couple months ago.
