The Galaxy Note by Samsung was quite a revolution in the mobile tech world. It proved that a phone/tablet hybrid can work and can find a consumer group that would really enjoy it. With that much success, a follow-up is all but obvious.
Now UbuntuLife is claiming that the second iteration of the Note is already in works and slated to be released this fall on October. The reported specs will be a dual-core Exynos processor, 1.5GB’s of RAM, a 5.5-inch WSXGA+ display, 8-megapixel camera, and LTE connectivity. The Note 2 will include all of the feature that the SIII provides such as S-Beam and S-Voice. This is great news, although I’m a bit surprised that Samsung didn’t use the same quad-core Exynos for the Note 2 that’s found in the SIII. And with this coming to the US as well, it’s almost certain that it won’t come with an Exynos at all. Seeing as the US SIII’s are all coming with the dual-core Snapdragon S4 processors, I would assume the same for the upcoming Note 2. What do you guys think about this? Excited for the Note 2 or will the SIII keep you from waiting for it?
