Samsung Provides Vague Statement On Jelly Bean Upgrades
With this latest update to Google’s Android OS, everybody’s wondering if they’ll get sweet Jelly Beans on their device. HTC provided a comment today and now Samsung has done their part by leaving a very vague comment that doesn’t really offer any information besides what we already know. Here it is:
Samsung will soon announce which additional devices are eligible for the Jelly Bean update. As the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, Samsung leads the Android community with best-in-class devices like the Galaxy S III, and is creating new device categories with products like the Galaxy Note. Samsung has delivered the most Nexus-branded lead OS devices and we are pleased that Google will be bringing Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S customers the first experiences of Jelly Bean on a handheld device.
As I said before, it doesn’t really offer up any new information but it seems to imply that Samsung will upgrade the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note. Whether or not that’s true remains to be seen but we’ll sure to keep you posted on any more statements from Samsung on the matter.
