It’s just a whole day of Galaxy S III delays. T-Mobile barely finished announcing that they would be delaying sales of the Galaxy S III before Sprint decided that the time was ripe for the same news. That’s right, Sprint has announced that the demand has been too great for the supply and the Samsung Galaxy S III will only be available through web and telesales on June 21 and also will only be in the 16GB capacity. That said, it should only be sometime in the range of a week before it’s available in stores. Sprint says that it should make it’s way into other channels next week and 16GB pre-order models should arrive on the 21 or just a day or two after. Unfortunately, those who pre-ordered the 32GB model will also have to wait it out until next week for their phones to arrive. No word yet on when the 32GB version will become available again.
So if you were planning to go and pick up a Galaxy S III in your local Sprint store on Thursday then you may have to wait a little bit longer. Same with those of you who pre-ordered the 32GB model. While the news is a bummer, think of it on the bright side. At least you’ll have more time to research up on your new device before it arrives and you can be grateful that your wait wasn’t as long as the one for owners of the EVO 4G LTE. How many of you pre-ordered a Galaxy S III on Sprint? How disappointed are you with this latest news?
