Verizon’s Galaxy S III Shipping On July 11th For All Orders Starting Today

So far, Samsung’s Galaxy S III rollout in the US has been a pretty rough one. All the carriers have had one issue or another, sometimes not even letting us know what was going to happen in the first place. Staged launches are beginning today, but Verizon has been pretty mum on the situation. Now we have at least one new tidbit, as all new orders of the phone will be shipping on July 11th.
That means if you didn’t pre-order previously, and wanted to grab one now, the 11th is the day your phone would be leaving the warehouse. This doesn’t apply to those who pre-ordered before today, as those phones will be arriving on either the 9th or 10th, depending on when you put your order in. Sad to see that Verizon is staggering its launch as well, but this proves that Samsung has quite the success on its hands.
So if I ordered weeks ago... I get my phone July 10th.
If I order weeks later... I get my phone July 11th.
This is a "delay"????
Sounds to me like: What used to take 4 weeks of lead-time... is now only taking 2 weeks.
