You Can Enjoy Bites of Jelly Bean Now

I’ve been searching the forums for only a short time and I’ve already found a Jelly Bean OTA, a port, and the .apk for the Jelly Bean Play Store.  Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was only announced Wednesday morning at Google I/O 2012.  I’m sure there’s more going on and I just haven’t found it yet.  I’m personally excited to try out Google Now when I can get my hands on something that will give me the ability.  Below is the list of what I’ve found…

OTA for Google Nexus – People are apparently flashing using fastboot.  You don’t need to be rooted.  It does seem like you need to have a GSM Galaxy Nexus and it needs to be takju and not yakju (meaning not having Google Wallet)

Jelly Bean port to Acer Iconia A500 – Apparently everything but sound and WiFi working.  Fixes and said to be coming soon.

Jelly Bean Google Play Store .apk – This one should be working for everybody.  I put it on my Epic 4G Touch and it’s working fine.  Not too exciting, you have access to TV shows and magazines, but maybe it makes you feel better that you don’t actually have Jelly Bean yet.

So, this is just a taste of what is probably going on out there.  Let us know if you know of any other Jelly Bean action or development going on out there.  I’ll add to the list or do a new post…
