Apple Denied Injunction On Galaxy Nexus And Galaxy Tab In Germany

It appears Samsung is having much better luck outside of the US when it comes to its ongoing patent war against Apple. Today, the German court upheld a previous ruling that Cupertino’s patent of “list scrolling and document translation, scaling, and rotation on a touch-screen display” was not violated by Samsung. This means the Galaxy Tab 10.1N and Galaxy Nexus will remain on store shelves in Germany for the foreseeable future.

The decision to deny the injunction comes just days after the Galaxy Tab 7.7 was banned in Europe. Samsung was pleased with the result, stating that it confirmed the company’s position that its products did not infringe on Apple’s IP. Predictable, the folks from Cupertino remained silent regarding the matter. There’s no doubt that in the meantime Apple will find other avenues of attacking the Korean company.

I wonder if Samsung is still providing Apple components for their devices. I would think that if so, Apple is shooting itself in the foot. Once the contractual obligations can be severed, Apple will be left to turn to other sources. I can't see that Samsung would want to continue helping Apple in any way, shape or form.

You're forgetting that Samsung profits enormously from their partnership with apple. Breaking that partnership would result in losses on both sides. I think the potential to make money will always override whatever personal beef there is between 2 companies
