Archos Shows Off It’s Latest Android Tablet, The Archos 97 Carbon

Android tablets may have faced limited success but that isn’t stopping manufacturers from churning them out. Archos today introduced their latest creation to us, the Archos 97 Carbon tablet. It sports a 1024×768 9.7″ IPS display, a 1GHz single-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, a 0.3-megapixel front camera and 2-megapixel rear camera, and Android 4.0 all packed into a .45″ thick aluminum body. It also manages to squeeze a microUSB, USB, mini-HDMI, and microSD slots in the tablet. All of these features come in at a fairly tempting price of $249.99.

The 97 Carbon is the first in Archos’ new Elements series which will also feature 7 and 8 inch tablets at affordable prices. The Archos 97 Carbon was the only tablet announced today. It may not feature any crazy specs but it does come in at a nice price point and brings Android 4.0. It’s downfall could be the fact that it’s releasing in July along with the Nexus 7 which packs more attractive features. Still, if you want to get your hands on the 97 Carbon then stay tuned for more information regarding the exact release date.
