The HTC Evo 4G LTE has an interesting run-in with Google Wallet. With Sprint being one of the few carriers to fully support Google Wallet, it was expected to be working on one of their flagship smartphones. On the contrary, something went terribly wrong causing the Evo and Wallet to not play along. Sprint’s “One” phone could not use the mobile payment system that it was sporting from the start.
Today, though, Sprint has begun rolling out an update which finally fixes the issues with the Evo. Once again, it is a NFC-friendly device. Sprint has laid out the official list of updates and fixes on their website:
- Google security updates
- Wifi Disconnect Issues
- Time zone issue
- Google Wallet Fix
- Side loaded video pause issue
- Random power cycling issue
- Pioneer Bluetooth Car Kit connection issue
- Gallery app crash
- Calendar reminder (all day even time) issue
To learn how to update your device, head on over to Sprint’s support site. There, you will find a detailed, step-by-step guide on updating to the latest firmware. If you have already finished this process, what do you all think of the new update?
