At this point, the very word patent makes my stomach cringe. This is a different story however, as a certain fruit company is not involved; Nokia is claiming that the Nexus 7 violates some of their WiFi patents, and that there was no attempt to license the technology. That could be very bad news for Google’s latest Nexus device, as they will most likely need to begin licensing the technology. The budget tablet already has a low margin, so this should be of concern for ASUS and Google.
We can only hope that Google doesn’t begin to lose money on the Nexus 7.
