HTC had already promised to bring Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to at least some of their smartphone lineup, and thanks to a new quote provided to the folks at Engadget, we can confirm some of those models.
“We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.”
Engadget has learned that in addition to the models mentioned in HTC’s statement, the HTC One X on AT&T, and the T-Mobile HTC One S will also be a Jelly Bean recipient. Unfortunately, there is no word on Jelly Bean for the One V, EVO 4G LTE, and DROID Incredible 4G LTE. Given that all of those devices are relatively new and running similar software to the confirmed models, we don’t think it’s a stretch to say at least one of those three models will also receive Jelly Bean.
