Since the release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, CyanogenMod 9 seemingly became old news. The guys in blue, however, don’t want you to forget about their Ice Cream Sandwich build and have continued to add device support for the extremely popular software. The latest release candidate pushed out by the guys adds support for Samsung’s latest, the Galaxy S III. Though, it is not a complete version of the ROM for any device, Cyanogen and his team are stating that this release is “something you’d let your mom use.” So it must be stable.
Other devices are added to CM’s list, like Galaxy S II (Skyrocket/T-Mobile), Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Note. While a release for the Galaxy S III is available, it should be noted that the current release only supports the international build. Cyanogen encourages that you do NOT flash this to your USA device, unless you like yourself a sleek, polycarbonate brick.
If you have one of these devices head on over to CM’s site and download the latest release candidate! Have you guys tried CM9? If so, what do you think?
