Nexus Root Toolkit For All Nexus Devices, Including The Nexus 7

It seems like the official release date for the new Google Nexus 7 tablet is just minutes away.  Also, we just heard that the Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ is back in the Google Play Store.  There are lots of known ways to to root and mod these Nexus devices.  We’ve recently shared a few for the Nexus 7 that can be found here (the original hard way, and a one-click).  What we have here is an all-in-one tool kit for Nexus devices, and it even includes the Nexus 7 as can be seen in the image above.  This is the Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5 developed by WugFresh.  This toolkit has been around for a little while, and has recently been updated to work with the Nexus 7.  Here what’s WugFresh has to say about the new changes:

VERSION 1.5 - This program contains all the files you need to unlock and root your device, or flash it back to stock and re-lock it. You can also use this program to backup/restore all your important data, flash zips, set file permissions, push and pull files, install apps, and much more!  With the included file association options, you can perform tasks like flashing zips, installing apps, restoring android backup files, and flashing/booting img files with just a double click!  This new version now supports all Nexus devices (including the Nexus 7 Tablet).  To explain all the new features in more detail, I included a full help file with the program for your reference.

This help file WugFresh mentions can be found here or can be found in the program and looks very straightforward and helpful.  I can’t verify how this works on any devices, as I don’t own any Nexus devices yet, but if you look at the comments on WugFresh’s web page there are hosts of happy users.  If Google ever releases the Nexus 7 (I kid), I will have one to play with.  I’m not sure I’ll use all the features with this toolkit, but I sure appreciate developers like WugFresh who take the time to make the Android modding process safer and more simplified.  I’m not super familiar with the manual rooting methods, such as using adb, so it’s awesome knowing I’ll have this type of tool at my fingertips when I’m ready to toy around with the Nexus 7.  Therefore, if you’re looking for some simple root and mod tools for your Nexus device, look no further.  You can download Wugfresh’s Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5 on his website here.  Let us know if you’re using to toolkit, or if you’re planning on it.  Let us know about your experience…
