We first got wind that the Nexus S was receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean yesterday and now Google has decided that it’s time to confirm that. They said today via their Nexus Google+ page that they’ve begun rolling out the updates to Nexus S’s on T-Mobile, H3G, O2, and Vodafone in most countries. Here’s the full post:
We’ve started rolling out Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, to Nexus S phones on a number of carriers including T-Mobile, H3G, O2, Rogers as well as Vodafone in most countries, with more to come. Enjoy!
Sounds good for users on those networks though no mention was made of either AT&T’s Nexus S or Sprint’s Nexus S 4G. We’ll have to wait for more information on updates for those carriers but for now, let’s rejoice at the fact that some Nexus S devices are receiving Jelly Bean!
