After Samsung’s appeal for a temporary stay on the ban of the Galaxy Nexus, the handset has been made available in Google’s Play Store once again. Unfortunately, customers will have to wait between 2 to 3 weeks to get their hands on the newly-outfitted Android 4.1 handset. The delay is said to have been caused by the need to update all Galaxy Nexus devices to Jelly Bean, as well as issue a new software workaround to avoid the disputed patent.
Just yesterday, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circut lifted the ban on the device temporarily. This new stay gives Apple time to respond to Samsung’s request, while the court decides whether or not to keep the ban for the entire infringement trial. Either way, If you’re ready to take the plunge into all of that Jelly Bean sweetness, you can pick upthe GNex for $349 from Google Play.
