Samsung Reveals Photon-Esque Design for Prototype iPhones

The lawsuits may never stop. This time, Samsung is up to play. Samsung has revealed that Apple may not own the designs they claim at all. Samsung unveils a series of iPhone prototypes which have some strikingly similar designs to Android devices, such as the Motorola Photon. The kicker here is that Samsung is claiming that Apple actually took their designs from Sony, now Sony Mobile. If this holds true, Apple cannot claim Samsung is infringing on their designs as the designs are not Apple’s at all.

To add fuel to the fire, the art features a logo “Jony” which is presumed to be a play on Sony and Apple’s famous designer, Jony Live. Depending on how this is ruled, this could eliminate many of the lawsuits that Samsung faces. It won’t end this problem, but it could drastically reduce the issues at hand.

It's Jony Ive, not Jony Live.

if apple go outside more instead of staying at cave creating more lawsuits, they would know some hyundai and kia look alot like Mercedes and BMW!  do you see Mercedes and BMW suing hyundai or kia?  when you're the best, you dont need to sue!

mbcls You & I think alike. I made a very similar point in another thread today. I wish I could remember where, I'd post it here.

ok so let me get this straight: samsung is saying that because an old prototype iphone looks like it was designed after something from sony, that samsung should be in the clear? because that makes tons of sense.

MrTechSushi Actually, its a newer prototype

This is all just one big soap opera. Tune in tomorrow to find out if John is the father, if Joan will keep the baby, and mostly if consumers will keep buying this crud.
