Samsung apparently has another “Unpacked” event in the works at the approaching IFA tradeshow. Rumor has it that this time they are unveiling their largest smartphone yet. The new category they have created, “phablets,” has breached new territory with the Galaxy Note. This time, its successor, the Galaxy Note 2, is said to arrive.
If rumors hold true, the phablet will pack a quad-core processor, a 13MP camera, 5.5″ screen and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. If this is the case, this will be a buttery-smooth Goliath of a smartphone. It will also be one of the first smartphones, other than the Google Play Galaxy Nexus, to ship with Jelly Bean out of the box. Keep your eyes peeled around August 30th to see what Samsung’s going to unpack this time.
