Shipping Date For Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III Online Orders Moved Back

There have been lots of disappointing news from Verizon in regards to their soon-to-be released Samsung Galaxy S III.  First, we found out that Verizon’s S III has an encrypted bootloader.  Then, Verizon quietly moved their release date for their device from the 10th to the 12th.  Now, it looks as though online orders for the device are also being pushed back.  As can be seen from the image above, a screen shot taken from Verizon’s website, their Galaxy S III  will now be shipping by 7/19.  The website formerly read that the device would ship by the 11th.  This likely isn’t to affect you if you’ve already ordered your device, but it’s just another bummer move from the mobile behemoth.  So, if you’re still interested (the locked bootloader’s a deal-breaker for me) and hoping to get your hands on the Verizon Galaxy S III soon, you may want to take a trip to your local store rather than order online.  Let us know if, and how you’ll be getting the device…  Are you still excited about it?  Or is Verizon taking the wind out of your sail?

I swear, you locked bootloader assclowns amuse me. I'm on Android phone #9 and they all came with locked bootloaders. But you know what? Each and every one has at one point been rooted and ran a custom ROM. My enjoyment of the phone wasn't hampered in any way.

Spoken Word My opinion is pretty irritating to you?  Having a locked bootloader will obviously not affect most Android users.  The Galaxy S III's a dope enough phone that most people won't feel the need to tinker around with it probably.  And you're right, developers will probably find away to unlock it still eventually.  I just find it super irritating and a stupid business move to do that with the S III.  I'm sure they know what they're doing.  I just don't have to like it, or buy into it.
