Sprint LTE Network Goes Live in Kansas City

Although nothing was slated for activation until July 15th, it seems that the now network really means now. Sources within Sprint have confirmed the switch has been flipped. This allegedly includes any of the cities Sprint announced would be active on the 15th, including Atlanta, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio.

Luckily, if you have upgraded recently you should be able to take full advantage of this brand new network. If you have a Galaxy Nexus, Evo 4G LTE, LG Viper or a Galaxy S III you’re good to go! Let us know if you have it working and what it’s like in the comments!

How do I turn my HTC LTE 4G on?  Ive selected it in the Settings>Network>CDMA/LTE and through the programming menu choosing LTE Only.

Is there something else I need to turn on?  I drove around all wknd throughout KC to hit it and never once did I hit a 4G signal.

@Guest Sprint's new 4g network will automatically switch between 3g & 4g on ur phone when in range, as long as u have it set to CDMA/LTE. It's not set up like the wimax days of separate network switches to turn on and off.
