Sprint’s Samsung Epic 4G Touch ICS Update Pushing Out Again

The Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Epic 4G Touch has been rolled out before, but it was halted due to unknown problems. Luckily, it’s back in action and rolling out to owners of E4GT. So if you still haven’t gotten the update, check for it in Settings, and tell us how it goes. So E4GT owners, have you received the update yet? Tell us in the comments!

I took the update the first time it was offered and my phone was just about unusable, the power drain was so horrible my phone was hot to the touch.  I downloaded gingerbread odin and rolled my phone back plus rooted it.  Now I see sprint is pushing 4.04 again.  Someone else can be a beta tester.  I will wait till I know sprint/samung got it right.

The actual ICS build going out is the same as the original, not sure why it stopped, but it wasn't rom related.  So If you didn't like it the first time, I would still hold back

i updated this and now when i press the home button on the phone it gives me two homes to go to...my original one and a new one and now when i try to go to my email it wont work any help? those are only the problems so far hope there arent any more....but i do love the other updates like how it tells you how much percent you have and other things.

@maddygabbyxx the ics update comes with two launchers, the stock ics launcher and the touchwiz launcher. If you want the launcher that you're used to, select default and hit twlauncher. If you like the stock ics look you can go with launcher. As far as the email goes, the only idea I have for you is to do a factory reset. You will lose all your settings, but it may fix the email problem. You can do that by going to settings and clicking on privacy. Good luck

Battery life is absolutely horrible after update. Updated at about 12pm phone was at 86% now at 330 phone is at 17%.

JasonVasquez Have you done a factory reset after your update?  May help...  may not.  I don't think battery life is as good as it used to be, but I'm dealing with it

Downloaded the ICS update, everything seems to be going okay. Getting random restarts on my phone and now my foxfi does not connect. Seems like an update just to add a few pretty effects and cool noises. One of the pro's would have to be the very efficient data useage control options under settings, thats pretty neat.

Change the settings on FoxFi, I think the standard settings don't work. if I remember right, Galaxy Nexus settings do?

IF you go to FoxFi's website, they say the're working on and update for the Epic 4G Touch.  It's not currently working in ICS.
