T-Mobile Retires The Sidekick Brand Temporarily

The Sidekick was an incredibly popular phone for its time, and T-Mobile and Samsung worked together to bring it into the new age of smartphones. The device was good in most ways, with solid internals, good design, and “edgy” software for consumers. However, it didn’t sell too well. So T-Mobile has decided to retire the Sidekick brand. They also said they will not be discontinuing it, which is good to hear. It might be a good idea to give the Sidekick brand some rest, and hopefully someday they can pull something extra special off to really take back the market.

I think a dual touch sidekick would be cool. But it would be a bit redundant as well, two slides sliding over like that., but in any other case, Hopefully they can come up with something good. The sidekick was a great phone.

Can you really retire something "temporarily"? Oh yeah that's right, Brett Favre's done it numerous times...
