Over the last week, speculation on the web has been rampant over rumors of an alleged Black Samsung Galaxy SIII. We originally posted on a potential leak on Carphone Warehouse that gave credibility to these rumors but there was never an official confirmation. That was until now.
According to Phandroid, UK Retailer MobileFun has confirmed the phone’s existence and it’s release is imminent. This latest color variation of the Galaxy SIII is listed on the MobileFun website and retails SIM-free for £499.95. The phone will be in stock within 4-6 weeks. Besides the darker color, the phone remains identical to the already released Pebble Blue and Marble White models spec-wise, including the same quad-core Exynos processor, 4.8-inch display, and Android ICS OS. The true question now of course is when will the Black Galaxy SIII arrive to the US and will it be a carrier exclusive? DroidDog will continue to update you as additional news is available.
*UPDATE*: MobileFun has just posted an official blog press release discussing their announcement of the Black Samsung Galaxy SIII and touting how they were the first to announce a price and the release date.
