Jelly Bean Update – JRO03O – For Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus Has Arrived

A new, official Jelly Bean build has leaked for Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus. According to one lucky XDA forum member El Madhatter, who received the OTA notification on his Galaxy Nexus, the update is available as build JRO03O. The JRO03O update doesn’t appear to be the final build of Android 4.1 for the device, but it is available for download as a ready-to-install upgrade for those running a stock, unrooted GNex with current software version IMM76Q. Reports indicate that the software contains a new bootloader as well as updated radios, which may or may not go a long way to address the LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus’ continue connectivity woes. The update can be downloaded direct from Google’s servers.

The Verizon GNex hasn’t exactly lived up to the Nexus name thus far, but this news comes as a big hit for existing Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners.
